Volcano Gold Reserve Honey is Pualani Bee Farm's "champagne" honey varietal, available online for the first time! This exquisite, one-of-a-kind honey is made from the finest nectar of Ohia Lehua flowers from trees that grow in the cool, misty highland rainforests of Kilauea Volcano. At 4,000 feet above sea level, these native Hawaiian trees blossom throughout most of the year, providing our upland-dwelling bees with almost year-round nectar foraging from the fiery red flowers. However, with only short spurts of sunny weather each day, it can take the bees more than 4 months to produce just a small surplus of this fine honey, which is well worth the wait!
 
Like its lowland cousin, our Volcano Gold Reserve Honey has the mild sweetness and exquisite floral aroma of our classic Ohia Lehua honey varietal; however, once extracted, it quickly crystallizes into a lighter-colored, velvety-smooth consistency. Visitors to Pualani Bee Farm, who sampled from our first 2023 early summer harvest of this exquisite honey, have consistently swooned over Volcano Gold Reserve Honey as the best-tasting honey they have ever had.
